House of Prayer was founded in 1995. The first Prayer and Bible Study meeting was held in the home of Bishop Charles and Pastor Effie Boyles at 6th S.E. Ave. The name was changed in November 1996 from Faith Temple Christian Center #2 to Faith Tabernacle of Praise Healing Deliverance Ministries as a corporate body. Here we are The Power House of Oak Harbor WA. Giving the Lord all the praise!
Stepping out on faith we rented our first space. Located on Barrington in one of Oak Harbor’s Land marks at The IOOF Hall, on June 5, 1996 we had our first weekly services. Wow! We were so excited. With the support of Beacon Ave Church Of Holiness, Pastor Fields of Seattle WA; Calvary Chapel, Pastor Renner of Oak Harbor WA; Faith Temple Christian Center #1, Pastors David and Linda Jenkins of Oak Harbor WA; and Mission Ministry Outreach of Oak Harbor WA, Pastors Randy and Fannie Dean, We went forward in faith.
We later moved to 3143 Goldie Rd. Our focus then, and still today, is Faith Moves. Our large logo is of an eagle mounted up in the middle of a mountain with the hands of God holding up the cross, along with the clouds of his Glory all around. "Faith Moves Mountains" The colors are blue for royalty. The logo was designed by Pastor Boyles and hand drawn and painted by Deacon Alonzo Boyles with the help of Brother Tony.
James tells us "Even faith if it hath not works is dead being alone." He even says Show me thy faith without thy works and I will show thee my faith by my works. Unless God build the house we do labour In vain so we walk by faith and not by sight. Our theme became "Faith Without Works Is Dead." Our scripture for the Ministry name came from Isaiah 56: 1-12. We stand on the promise of vs 5-7. "Even them will I bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in mine House of Prayer: Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on mine altar; For Mine House Shall Be Called A House Of Prayer for all people." Many have come and many have gone. Daddy has assured us to expect greater. YOU House of Prayer are the reason we are here today. So we as a body of believers must continue to take the limits off and take a stand, we must stand out, stand in the gap, continue to lay between the porch and the altars as Ministers of God.
In 2005 we moved to our present location here on the corner of Erin Parks Units 620 A and B. Still standing taking altitude, moving in faith for eye hath not seen nor ear heard, Yet the Vision tarry it shall come to pass. He has promised and he cannot lie. He will send them from the four corners of the earth and men will know you are my chosen. Occupy till I come saith the Lord, know 15 years in not in vain; I am pleased with you. It hasn’t been easy but stand and don’t forget to praise.
In 2013, a shift took place, still standing in Kingdom Power, We became associates in Christ with C.O.R.C.C of Hawaii. With the guidance of Overseer Dr. Wayne E. Anderson, Our spiritual father since 1983, we transcended to a new level moving up new dimensions.
Bishop Charles Boyles Jr. is anointed and has been appointed for Kingdom work, opening blinded eyes setting the captive free, releasing the oppressed, proclaiming the word and the acceptable year of the now Luke 4:18. 42 plus years of union and friendship Bishop Charles and Pastor Effie Boyles have been running and standing on the promises of God. In obedience this shift has been one year of glory and know as we stand in victory in where You Have A Right To Be Free!

WE BELIEVE the word of GOD is true. Our salvation is based on that word; The Virgin Birth, The Resurrection from the dead, The Water Baptism in Jesus name, The Holy Spirit Baptism (according to Acts 2:1-4) and Holy Communion; Ministry of Healing; The Laying on of hands; Giving our Tithes and Offering and the belief that Holiness is a way of life.
OUR MISSION is to fulfill The Great Commission; to edify, to comfort; To equip by building character (Gal. 5:22-24) and sending them forth into the harvest; To support in warfare work and glorify God by being conformed in his image by promoting maturity in the lives of the saints. To provide the resources, activities and services needed to win the lost souls to Christ.
OUR VISIONis to go worldwide fulfilling the Great Commission by conquering the lost for Christ. To provide the Northwest WA area with a church geared in all walks of life. To loose bands of wickedness; to undo heavy burdens and free the oppressed by breaking yokes while offering a ministry that is understanding, sensitive, loving, forgiving and accepting.
OUR VISION STATEMENT is to build the Heavenly Kingdom through discipleship in accordance with the Apostles Doctrine. Our focus is on healing and repairing lives and training them for their calling in the body of Christ so they too may reach this lost and dying world.
